PURCHASING ADMINISTRATION/AP

Term of Employment: Permanent, Full Time

Available shifts:

Day - 8:00am - 4:30pm

Job Description

The chosen candidate will be responsible for purchasing as part of our supply chain, performing some administrative duties and maintaining accounts payable (AP). Essential job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Performing procurement related tasks (issuing purchase orders, maintaining communication with supply chain, etc.);
  • Communicating purchased material specifications to suppliers;
  • Ensuring that documented purchase specifications are communicated to suppliers in a controlled manner;
  • Utilizing supplier selection systems;
  • Tracking key supplier performance in the areas of quality, delivery and cost;
  • Working closely with key departments and performing other procurement related tasks;
  • Inventory control duties;
  • General A/P activities (posting invoices, processing payments, reconciliations, etc.);
  • General administration duties (system updates, data entry, payroll preparation, etc.).

Attributes and Qualifications:

  • Secondary School (grade 12) Diploma and relevant work experience;
  • Post-secondary education preferred; experience in Purchasing, Administration and/or AP in a PCB (Printed Circuit Board) manufacturing facility would be an asset;
  • Any credentials related to Purchasing, Accounting/Finance, Administration, Quality Standards (ISO9001, AS9100, etc.) would be an asset but training will be provided;
  • Ability to communicate, read and write effectively in English is essential;
  • General email etiquette and familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel would be an asset;
  • Ability to work with minimal or no supervision in a team or individual setting;
  • Reliable, dependable and willingness to learn in a continuous improvement environment.

 LAB TECHNICIAN 

Term of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Shift work

Available shifts:

Day - 8:00am - 4:30pm 
Afternoon - 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Job Description

The chosen candidate will be responsible for working in a wet and dry lab environment. Essential job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Observe and follow all safety procedures and protocol;
  • Perform chemical analysis for plating, deposition and oxide processes;
  • Recommend chemical adds and record additions;
  • Maintain bath formulation to pre-empt occurrence of problems related to improper levels of bath constituents;
  • Supply customer required lab documentation in a timely manner to meet customer delivery requirements;\
  • Prepare cross-sections of printed circuit boards;
  • Evaluate cross-sections under microscope using acceptance criteria per IPC-6012;
  • Write cross-section reports with measurements for product shipments. 

Attributes & Qualifications:

  • Secondary School (grade 12) Diploma and relevant work experience; 
  • Must have good English skills; written and verbal communication skills are required;
  • Basic computer skills and word processing software experience;
  • Ability to work with minimum or no supervision in a team or individual setting;
  • Reliable, dependable and a willing/able to learn in a continuous improvement environment;
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time;
  • Ability to work daily and weekend overtime as necessary;
  • Must be comfortable working with or around areas of chemicals;
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of inspection devices, calipers, gauges, etc. a plus;
  • Training provided but chemistry and previous lab experience in PCB manufacturing a plus.

  PRODUCTION OPERATOR

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Shift Work

Job Description:

The chosen candidate will be responsible for working as an operator in a manufacturing plant environment. Essential job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Operating semi-automated production equipment in a fast-paced PCB (Printed Circuit Board) manufacturing environment in various departments;
  • Some manual labour work during production processing;
  • Careful and constant observation of strict safety measures as handling of potentially dangerous chemicals will be involved in most production areas;
  • Maintaining a high level of cleanliness as this is critical for the manufacturing process;
  • Training is provided for specific skills and tasks.

 Attributes and Qualifications

  • Secondary School (grade 12) Diploma and relevant work experience;
  • Ability to communicate and read effectively in English;
  • Ability to work with minimum or no supervision in a team or individual setting in a clean and safe work environment;
  • Reliable, dependable and willingness to learn in a continuous improvement environment;
  • Familiarity with WHIMS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System);
  • Familiarity with inspection basics and job tracking reports;
  • Familiarity with basic computer use (find and access information, communication, task planning and organizing);
  • Related PCB experience is a definite asset but not a mandatory requirement.
