QUALITY ASSURANCE COORDINATOR

Term of Employment: Full time, day shift, 8am-4:30pm, M-F

Salary: TBD

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Burnaby, BC

Skill Requirements:

Education: post-secondary education and/or training in sciences, engineering and/or technology and Quality Management Systems.

Experience: engineering professional with significant experience in the areas of quality control, quality assurance and process control (i.e. ISO9001:2008, ASS9100); previous QA experience in Printed Wiring Boards (PWBs), manufacturing or an EMS environment is an asset; previous QA experience in an AS9100 environment is a significant asset.

Language: English, ability to write and effectively communicate in English is essential.

Job Description:

  • Inspect PWBs, perform procedure(s) of final fabrication
  • Complete quality document(s) as required, file records
  • Create suppllier non-conformance reports, process engineering change notices (ECNs)
  • Update measurement summaries, carry out calibration of equipment, conduct internal audits
  • Ensure quality control and ISO 9001:2008 & AS9100 compliance
  • Monitor and follow up customer returns from receipt to final disposition
  • Promote company-wide continuous improvement, a customer-oriented approach to problem solving and a global awareness of customer requirements to all employees
  • For the right candidate, this position will lead into assuming additional responsibilities and developing into the Quality Assurance Manager for the company.

ELECTRONICS CAD/CAM TECHNICIAN

Term of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Shift work

Available Shifts:

  • Day: 6:30 am- 3:00 pm
  • Afternoon: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Location: Burnaby, British Columbia

Skill Requirements:

  • Electronics Technician Certification or equivalent;
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English;
  • Comfortable with various Windows OS environments.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing master phototools and NC programs using the latest PC based software tools. This is an entry level position and full training will be provided. Previous PWB experience is not required but would be considered an asset.

PRODUCTION OPERATOR

Term of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Shift work

Available shifts:

  • Day 6:30am - 3:00pm
  • Afternoon: 3:00pm - 11:30pm
  • Night - 8:30pm Sunday to 7:00am Monday & 11:00pm - 7:00am (Mon-Thurs)

Job Description

The chosen candidate will be responsible for operating semi-automated production equipment in a fast paced PWB manufacturing environment; some manual labour work in the production processing will be required.

PLANT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Term of Employment: Permanent, FUll Time, Shift Work

Available Shifts:

  • Day: 6:30 am- 3:00 pm
  • Afternoon: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Skill Requirements:

  • BCIT Electrical & Electronics Cerfification or equivalent;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maintaining production equipment;
  • Extensive mechanical skills a must;
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Provincial Electrical Red Seal Certificate is an excellent asset but not required.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining all production equipment in working order; performing equipment preventative maintenance procedures; working with outside support to repair machines and/or provide hands on training to other production workers. Other responsibilities include setting up & upgrading new equipment and/or processes and working closely with all departments to improve existing processes and production throughput.

PROCESS ENGINEERING ASSISTANT

Term of Employment: Permanent; Full Time; Day Shift (8:00am-4:30pm M-F)

Skill Requirements:

  • Education: post-secondary education and/or training in sciences, engineering and/or technology. A chemistry engineering degree would be a definite asset and preferred. Some basic electronics and mechanical training is an asset but not required.
  • Process engineering experience in a manufacturing facility; previous experience in a Printed Wiring Boards (PWBs) manufacturing or an EMS environment is an asset; previous experience in an AS9100 environment is a definite asset
  • Experience in conducting designed experiments.
  • Experience in developing and documenting  manufacturing procedures.
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • A background in chemistry and/or electronics would be an asset.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will work closely with all facets of the manufacturing plant personnel including Engineering, Quality Assurance & Production to maintain and troubleshoot production processes. Other responsibilities include implementation of new and/or upgraded production processes or equipment & assisting the production department as required.
